Though many racing titles may give the illusion of driving freedom, FUEL is one of the first to truly let players race as they choose, with thousands of miles of terrain open during each race, from snow-covered peaks to dry and dank canyons. In the near future, America's vast and open landscapes have been destroyed by the effects of global warming, leaving massive areas of the US open for a new breed of off-road racer. 70 different vehicles make up FUEL's roster, ranging from traditional bikes and cars to quads, trucks and dragsters.
Along with this new open countryside comes the ever-present threat of natural disasters, as tornados, sandstorms and lightning alter the environment and put racers at risk. Jumping online, players can compete in hundreds of multiplayer challenges, each utilizing the same dynamic weather effects.
FUEL completely removes any sense of restriction from off-road racing, letting players explore the outskirts of America and find their own routes to the finish line.
